OPENING TIP: The seventh season of the Penny Collins era kicks off Monday with the annual “Battle of Jefferson Street” as TSU faces fellow HBCU rival Fisk. Since taking over as head coach, Collins is 3-3 in season-opening games and 3-0 in season openers at the Gentry Center, including victories over Fisk (2022, 2023) and Alabama A&M (2019).
